Is it too warm in your home and hard to cool down?
Is your cooling bill extremely high in the summer?
Then you will benefit by having a roof mounted powered vent (roof fan) installed!
Lower the cost of your cooling bill this summer and reduce the amount of humidity in your attic the rest of the year by installing an electric roof vent!
Then save money on your electric bill continuously after installation from now on every year!
Temperatures can reach up to 150 degrees in poorly vented attics!
Excessive heat and humidity can damage the wood rafters, roof decking, cause nails to come loose (nail pops) from extreme temperature variation causing excess contraction & expansion of wood, premature shingle failure, cracks in drywall tape joints, damage stored things in attic; even promote fires!
The absolute best solution is to install a solar power vent.
My solar powered roof vents are superior to regular 120 volt electric power vents and are higher wattage (80 watts) than the solar power vents available at most stores which typically range from 15 to 40 watts, which means that mine remove more hot air out of attics. Being solar powered they do not require running a 120 volt electrical line in the attic to power them. They are fully automatic and run only when the sun's out (when it's needed the most). The 12 volt motors we use to power the fans in them last much longer than the typical 120 volt motor which usually has to be replaced from 2 years to 5 years. The two I installed on my own roof in May of 2018 (6 years ago) are still going strong today!
Once a solar power vent is installed, it does not cost you any additional money to run whereas a 120 volt power vent cost money for the electricity to operate it, which is usually around 3.5 amps (about 420 watts). Solar power vents run on sun power only, a great advantage! Even when it is cloudy they still run at a reduced rpm rate but still operate. You can really feel the difference in your home right away!
Or, if your home is surrounded by trees that block the sun, we will replace your non-working or burnt out 120 volt electric power vent or install a new one from scratch.
Simple static vents, turtle back vents, or ridge vents do not provide nearly enough ventilation. Shingled type and metal type ridge vents are both leak prone and do not provide very efficient ventilation.
Originally, ridge vents were designed for the sole purpose of providing ventilation for vaulted (cathedral) ceilings. We do not install turbine vents because they leak through the blades on the top, especially if they stop spinning. If you have an open attic type designed roof structure, electric powered vents are much more effective at removing hot air from attics than ridge vents, etc..
We guarantee our roof mounted power vent installations for two years.
Really with very few exceptions every home should have electric power vents (roof fans) installed!
Warning: Do not allow an electrician, homeowner, or other inexperienced person try to install your new power vent on the roof surface for you. This would be very dangerous for them and the new power vent would probably leak, not function properly, etc..
When your central air conditioner has to work harder because it's too hot in your attic, then it uses a lot more electricity than necessary. But cool your attic down with a powered roof vent fan and then your air conditioner, which uses a whole lot of electricity, does not have to run nearly as often. It can save you a substantial amount of money on your electric bill!
