There are thousands of reasons why roofs develop leaks. Due to my many years of experience, I know where all roof leaks occur. I haven't seen a roof leak in many years where I've said to myself "I've never seen that type of leak situation before!". 

When it comes to roof leak repairs you really have to know what you're doing.  Leak repair work is more specialized. Not just any "roofer" can do proper leak repairs. I come to many people's homes where the customer tells me that they had another roofing company try to stop their roof leak but couldn't get it stopped. Then we repair it properly for them.

Missing, blown off, or fallen off shingles? 

Almost every week we get calls for shingles having fallen down off people's homes due to the roofing guys firing the roofing nails through the shingles when new due to having the roofing air nail gun air pressure too high, above 90 Lbs. PSI, and/or  "High Nailing" them in the wrong places on the shingles because of going too fast with their nail guns when installing them. Low nailing them too for the same reason causes leaks because the shingles above those nails are barely covering the roofing nails. By hand nailing your shingles on your roof it eliminates all those problems. By old fashioned hand nailing like we do, your repaired shingles stay on your roof the entire life of the roof!  

NOTE: On steep roofs when shingles which are heavy  pick up speed falling off roofs they typically hit the gutters damaging them. Sometimes they shoot over the gutters when falling, especially if you have gutter guards or gutter screens on them, then hitting things on the ground causing other damage like vehicles, especially if it's a garage driveway side where you're loosing shingles. I've seen that happen many times over the years.
